Privacy Policy for loc8

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Num Num OU (operating as 7x network) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the loc8 mobile app, which connects to the location.lol service.

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, Firebase user identifier (UID), and sign-in provider. Our servers record that Firebase UID, email, and provider in a login ledger so we can operate the account, prevent abuse, and enforce access limits.

Location and searches

With your permission, loc8 uses foreground location to center the map and show nearby places. Precise coordinates are used on your device and sent to Google Maps and Google Places to fulfil the search. When you look up fuel prices, those coordinates are also sent to Petrolmate (petrolmate.com.au) to return nearby Australian petrol stations and pump prices. We do not store your raw location coordinates on our servers.

The app also processes search tags, map interactions, and messages you send us for support.

Firebase Analytics and device identifiers

loc8 uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, only if you allow it. Collection stays off until you consent. We use those events to understand which screens and features people use, to find errors, and to improve search and reliability. Num Num OU does not sell this data and does not show ads in loc8.

Events can include app opens, screens viewed, search mode, tag count, whether an address was used, map moves, favorites, support actions, and error types. A place event may include a place id and place name. Product events do not include the text you type into search, your name, or your email. loc8 does not attach your Firebase account id to analytics events.

When analytics is on, Google may receive device identifiers and technical data for that install: • A Firebase app instance identifier that distinguishes this install • Device type, operating system, app version, language, and a general region • On iOS, the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) • If you allow tracking or usage measurement, the advertising identifier: IDFA on iOS, or the Google Advertising ID on Android • An IP address that Google may use to derive an approximate region

Those identifiers let Firebase tell one install from another and measure usage over time. When an advertising identifier is available, Apple and Google treat that as tracking. loc8 asks Apple for tracking permission on iPhone because the Firebase Analytics SDK can read IDFA after you allow it. The Android build includes the advertising-id permission for the same reason.

Analytics controls

On iPhone, the first-launch screen explains optional usage data, then loc8 shows Apple's tracking prompt. Allowing that prompt turns Firebase Analytics on, including the advertising identifier if Apple provides it. You can change the choice later in iOS Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking. The next app launch follows that setting.

On Android, the first-launch screen lets you allow usage data or tap Not now. Allowing it turns Firebase Analytics on and can include the Google Advertising ID. That choice is stored on the device. You can also reset or limit the advertising identifier in your Google or device ad settings. Email us if you want help turning collection off for your install.

Every loc8 feature still works if you decline. Uninstalling the app also removes the local consent record and the Firebase app instance data stored on that device.

Other technical data

Google Maps, Google Places, Google Sign-In, and Firebase may process limited diagnostic information needed to run those SDKs. loc8 does not include a separate Crashlytics crash-reporting product.

How we use information

Num Num OU uses this information to: • Provide, maintain, and improve loc8 and location.lol • Authenticate you and keep the account secure • Show maps, place details, travel-time estimates, and Australian fuel prices • Prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits • Respond to support requests • Measure optional product usage through Firebase Analytics, as described above

Sharing

Num Num OU does not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with service providers who need it to do work for us: Google (Maps, Places, Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Analytics) and Petrolmate for Australian fuel prices. We may also share information to follow the law, to protect the service, or as part of a sale of the business, and we share it when you ask us to.

Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Fuel price lookups send your coordinates to Petrolmate only when you use that feature.

Retention and deletion

Account and login ledger data (Firebase UID, email, provider) is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for abuse prevention and legal compliance. Location coordinates are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. Support messages are kept for up to 3 years. Firebase Analytics events and device identifiers are retained by Google under that product's retention settings.

You can delete your account from Support, then Delete Account in the app. That removes the Firebase account and the login ledger record. You can also email sevenxnetwork@gmail.com. We aim to finish deletion within 30 days where feasible.

Your choices

You can turn location off in device settings. Address search still works. You can allow or refuse Firebase Analytics as described above. You can sign out at any time. To delete the account and associated data, use Support, then Delete Account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will revise the date at the top of the page. In some cases we may also give extra notice.
